Date: Wed. April 18, 2007
Time: 6:00pm-9:30pm
Location: LEDWorks Facilities, Anaheim, CA
At sunset, LEDWorks opened their facilities to the IES Orange County Chapter meeting. Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) is an organization that "...seeks to improve the lighted environment by bringing together those with lighting knowledge and by translating that knowledge into actions that benefit the public." With approximately 50 attendees, the demonstration of neon glass bending was a success; the bending and pumping of the glass lasted about 10-20 min and wrapped up the meeting. The event set a record high attendance for a chapter meeting and Mitch Bronson, Vice President of the IES Orange County Chapter, believes that it was the most attended chapter meeting in two years!
Beside the neon demonstration there was a booth, similar to the one that was setup at the IESLA Product Fair; It was there to display the featured LED products. Amongst the displayed product were VersaFlex, Color Sync Pro, Tile 64 and Color Sync HO.
Pete Contreras, Project Manager for LEDWorks' sister company, NSI Products, had these words to say about the IES Orange County Chapter meeting:
"It is impressive to see the amount of LED products that LEDWorks has to offer. We not only are able to offer good solid LED products with an impressive display in programming, but also, the technical portion is informative whether you have knowledge of LED’s or not.
The cathode display of manufacturing this type of product really shows the intricate details in how this product is manufactured. The equipment that is used to process the neon and cathode is state of the art and it is no wonder that NSI is the leader in their industry."
The night ended with a smile on the face of many, and a more informed people; the meeting was a success!
LEDWorks President, John Ortiz, says "It was our pleasure to host the IES chapter meeting and we look forward to working with them again."
